Terms of use
Draft. This text is not yet in force and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Still to be filled: legalName, legalForm, registeredAddress, gstin, supportEmail, supportPhone, grievanceOfficer, effectiveDate.
These terms are the agreement between your garage and [to be filled] ([to be filled], [to be filled]), which runs Garage Master. By creating a garage on Garage Master you accept them.
What you get
Garage Master is software for running a garage: job cards, estimates, GST invoices and non-GST bills, payments and dues, stock, reminders and reports. You use it through a web browser. We may add, change or remove features; we will not remove your access to records you have already made while your account is open.
Features marked "Coming soon" on our website are not part of the service until they are released.
Your account and your team
The person who creates a garage is its owner. The owner adds teammates and chooses what each may do. You are responsible for what your teammates do in your garage, and for keeping sign-in codes and second-factor devices safe.
Tell us at once if you believe someone else has access to your account. We may put a garage on hold while a suspected takeover is checked: the garage becomes read-only and its AI keys are revoked; you can still read everything, and we will tell you why.
Your data is yours
Your customers, vehicles, job cards, bills and payments belong to your garage. We do not sell them and do not use them to contact your customers.
Each garage's records are kept apart from every other garage's in the database. Our staff see how much a garage uses the product (counts of members, job cards and bills), not its customers or amounts, unless you ask us to look at something for support.
You can download your garage's data at any time from Garage > Download your data.
Tax and bills are your responsibility
Garage Master works out CGST, SGST and IGST from the rates, the HSN or SAC codes and the GSTIN you enter. You are responsible for entering them correctly, for choosing between a GST invoice and a non-GST bill, and for filing your returns. Garage Master is not a tax adviser. Check your figures with your accountant.
A bill that has been issued cannot be deleted, only cancelled or corrected with a credit note, because it is a tax record.
Plans, price and payment
A new garage has 14 days free with no card. After that, new work needs a paid plan: Starter at ₹499 a month or Growth at ₹1,299 a month, plus GST. Prices on our website on the day you subscribe are the prices you pay; we will tell you at least 30 days before a price change applies to you.
Plans are sold through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record: it charges in advance, adds GST and sends the tax invoice, with your GSTIN on it when you give one. Plans renew until you cancel. Each plan has limits (people, AI briefs a month) shown on the Plan screen.
If a payment fails or a plan ends, you can still read all your records and take payment for old bills. You cannot open new job cards or raise new bills until a plan is active.
Messages to your customers
When you send an estimate, a bill or a reminder to a customer, you are the sender. Send service reminders only to customers who agreed to receive them; the product records that agreement and gives each customer a link to stop.
AI features
The daily brief is written by an AI model from your garage's own figures. It can be wrong. Check a figure against its report before acting on it. If you connect an outside AI assistant with a key, what that assistant does with what it reads is between you and its provider.
What you must not do
Do not use the service for anything unlawful, try to reach another garage's data, share your sign-in, overload the service, or resell it without our written agreement.
Closing your account
The owner can close the garage from Garage > Close account. Access ends at once for everyone in it. GST law requires bills, payments and credit notes to be kept for 72 months after the due date of the annual return for their year, so we keep those for that long and then remove them. AI keys, briefs and the reminder log are removed when you close.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or has not paid, after telling the owner and giving a chance to download the data, unless the law or a risk to other garages requires us to act sooner.
Our responsibility to you
We work to keep the service running and your data safe, but we do not promise it will never be interrupted or free of mistakes. Keep your own copies of important records using the download.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to your garage for any claim is limited to what your garage paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profit or for tax, penalties or interest that follow from figures you entered.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction.
